Our home is located on a quiet creek off the Patuxent River, near the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. The peaceful surroundings, low-traffic neighborhood, and waterfront setting create a relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for dogs who thrive on routine, attention, and comfort.

We intentionally keep our boarding small and personal, hosting no more than two guest dogs at a time. This allows us to give every dog individualized care, plenty of attention, and a stress-free stay. Dogs stay inside our home with us, are allowed on the furniture, and are treated like part of the household—not like visitors.

Licensing, Inspection & Insurance
For your peace of mind, Dockside Dogs operates in full compliance with local regulations. Our home has been inspected and approved by St. Mary’s County Animal Services, and we hold a Commercial Kennel License, as required by county law for boarding dogs in a private home for a fee.
We are also fully insured with pet sitting insurance, providing an added layer of protection and confidence while your pet is in our care.
